MESO, Inc. maintains two offices. MESO's headquarters are located at 185 Jordan Road within the Rensselaer Technology Park in Troy, NY. MESO also operates an office in the Research III Building on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. MESO maintains an extensive array of computer systems at it's Troy, NY facility for its research and operational needs. These include: (1) five Intel processor microcomputers which run either the Microsoft DOS or UNIX operating systems; (2) two Apple PowerMac computers; (3) two Next workstations; and (4) four DEC Alpha workstations. An additional Apple PowerMac system is located in the Raleigh office. All of the systems are connected to each other via an ethernet network and to the outside world via a 56 Kbps dedicated internet connection. The Raleigh, NC office has a T3 connection to the internet. Thus, all of the computers at the Troy office are easily accessible from the Raleigh office. Laser printers and high speed (V.32, V.32bis, V.42 and V.42bis) modems are available for use with any of these computers. An extensive library of compilers and mathematical software is also available. In addition to this computer hardware and software, MESO has a 2.4 m and a 1.0 m satellite antenna outside its Troy office which receive real-time weather data transmitted by Alden Electronics. Both raw observations and output from the National Meteorological Center's numerical models are ingested on a daily basis. Additional data is also acquired via the internet connection.

MESO maintains a modest library of meteorological and other scientific publications at its Troy, NY facility. It also has access to the library facilities of the State University of New York at Albany which is located about 7 miles from the Troy office. The Raleigh office is housed within the same building as the research facilities of the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (MEAS) and personnel at that office have access to the MEAS library as well as to the other library facilities of the North Carolina State University.
